December Daily- The Last Day

The kitchen is clean, the chores are all done
The holiday celebrations were so much fun

Gone are the wrappings
Packed are the trappings

Left are the feelings warm and true
Replacing the long lists of "to do"

Relaxing and visiting before this break ends
Thinking of shopping, our gift cards to spend

Our dear Savior's birth we did celebrate
Our thoughts turn to Him for it's never too late

If you forgot to give Him a gift this year
Prepare now for a life of good cheer

Dedicate yourself to following His ways
Scripture study and Prayer you'll make part of your days

Turning to Him to fulfill your great need
Leaving behind desires of wanton and greed

Simplify, renew and cultivate
Our lives to Him we will dedicate

Discarding anger, judgement and sin
Resolving now to FOLLOW HIM

Repentance and renewal are part of this plan
He makes it possible, He knows you can

Not on your own, but only through HIM
Eternal salvation if a gift...not something you win

So turn to HIM, do not delay
A new life, a new YOU, starts TODAY!
